Atheist - Unquestionable Presence (1991)
If you aren't familiar with this album, get acquainted. This is probably the best Technical Death Metal album I've heard, and contains some Jazz Fusion elements. Remastered version BTW.

Scenery - The Drowning Shadows of Mankind (1997)
Almost as good as Atheist. I think any fan of the band should check these guys out. They deserve a lot more attention than they've gotten.

Clotted Symmetric Sexual Organ - Are You Excrements? (2001)
Experimental Japanese Grindcore with stoner/jazz/punk/blues/noise interludes and influences. Fantastic stuff, and it's not blast beating 24/7 like most grindcore.

Neuma - Weather (2006)
This is another polish album. Sludge Metal with awesome bass and free-jazz sax solos. Awesome stuff!

Double Leopards - Halve Maen (2003)
Awesome drone! That's all I need to say about this. Oh yea, half the band has girls. ;p

R6.3zist - Liquid Fear (2007)
This is pretty much one of the only good techno albums out there. However, I consider this to be more power noise than techno (Power noise is basically rhythmic noise). This only has 3 ratings on RYM so this is something that practically no one has listened to.

Synestesia - Feeniks (2009)
The 2nd best album of '09, right behind the new maudlin of the Well album. This is melodic death metal at its best.

Le Scrawl - Whisky a GO GO (2008)
This EP is the best five minutes of your life; if only it was longer. This is jazz with a growling vocalist.

Peter Broderick - Home (2008)
Best album of 2008. Just like Elliott Smith and Nick Drake, this is also an album made by only a man with his acoustic guitar. This is just as beautiful.

Terry Scott Taylor - Neverhood Songs (1996)
This is my favorite video game OST. Ignore Final Fantasy and Zelda ones, this one is amazing!

20.SV - Acid Vomit (2005)
Another dark ambient album, except this one is an EP. This was banned in Lebanon and was considered terror music there. The final song Disfigured Children.Radioactive Generation is one of the most unsettling songs I have ever heard.
